I have retained Jim Hafer on two different occasions to represent us in residential real estate transactions. Additionally, I have engaged Jim numerous other times for advice on various West Virginia real estate matters. I've worked with Jim Hafer as my real estate agent for over 15 years, and he's been exceptional every step of the way. I’ve worked with Jim in the past to purchase my commercial office space in Martinsburg, WV. Most recently he helped my family with our very specific wishes for our home purchase needs. We had a very small geographic search area in southern Back Creek Valley and Jim was very helpful sending listing and was always willing to run out and walk us through promising homes that hit the market. When the right property came around Jim was very helpful in creating the right offering documents that gave us the best chance of winning a bidding war. After 15 wonderful years as part time residents at the Woods, my wife & I recently sold our home since the the focus of our leisure time was shifting from WV to NY due to the birth of our first grandchild. From the listing to settlement, Jim made the whole process pain free & seamless. Since Jim lives at the Woods he knows the community very well which I feel helped with the marketing of our home and we were fortunate to receive an offer within the first week that it was listed. Also, by living right here in the community he was able to stop by after showings, inspections etc to make sure the lights had been turned off & the house had been secured. This was especially helpful being that our full time residence is out of state. Also, his office assistant is the best— her efficiency, professionalism & attention to every detail along the way made the process a smooth one. Jim is an amazing agent! I met Jim in the neighborhood when I was considering listing our home "for sale by owner". Jim offered to talk with me and spent nearly an hour of his time giving me tips and best practices on "for sale by owner". The people of Hafer Real Estate Group were extremely helpful in the purchase of our new home. Being new to the area & not knowing where to start, our friends pointed us in the direction of Hafer Real Estate Group.
